Pocket pet dosing has more species-to-species variance than dog/cat: rabbits cannot tolerate oral β-lactams (gut dysbiosis → enterotoxaemia), guinea pigs require different vitamin C handling, ferrets metabolise some drugs (e.g. xylazine) at carnivore-class rates rather than rodent rates.
