Flumadine
Blocks the M2 ion channel of influenza A preventing viral uncoating. No activity against influenza B. Widespread resistance limits utility.
Most influenza A strains now resistant. CNS side effects (less than amantadine). GI upset. No veterinary data for antiviral use.
