Mechanism of Action

Inhibits cap-dependent endonuclease in the influenza polymerase acidic (PA) protein, blocking viral mRNA synthesis. Active against influenza A and B.

Side effects & warnings

Single-dose treatment. Resistance can emerge (I38T substitution). GI upset. Novel mechanism. No veterinary data.
