Trexall
Inhibits dihydrofolate reductase, blocking thymidylate and purine synthesis. Impairs DNA replication in rapidly dividing cells.
Myelosuppression, GI toxicity (mucositis, diarrhea), hepatotoxicity, nephrotoxicity. Leucovorin rescue may be needed. Not commonly used as single agent in veterinary oncology. Monitor CBC and renal function.
