Vfend Ophthalmic(compounded)
Second-generation triazole with excellent corneal penetration. Inhibits fungal CYP51 (lanosterol 14-alpha demethylase). Broad-spectrum antifungal.
Compounded from IV formulation. Better corneal penetration than natamycin. Used for deep fungal keratitis and endophthalmitis. May cause mild ocular irritation.
