Mechanism of Action
Macrolide antibiotic that binds to the 50S ribosomal subunit, inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis. DuraSite delivery system provides sustained drug release on the ocular surface.
Side effects & warnings
Broad-spectrum activity including Chlamydia. Anti-inflammatory properties in addition to antibacterial. May cause transient eye irritation.
