Pitressin, Vasostrict
Acts on V1 (vascular smooth muscle vasoconstriction) and V2 (renal collecting duct water reabsorption) receptors. Non-catecholamine vasopressor.
Used in CPR and refractory hypotension. Digital/splanchnic ischemia risk. Does not require functioning adrenergic receptors. Monitor urine output.
