Non-selective cyclooxygenase inhibitor that reduces prostaglandin synthesis, providing anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and antipyretic effects. Also inhibits lipoxygenase pathway.
GI ulceration common especially with prolonged use. Not recommended in dogs or cats (safer alternatives available). Primarily used in horses. Diarrhea is a frequent side effect.
