Pseudopregnancy/Lactation suppression

Mechanism of Action

Dopamine D2 receptor agonist that inhibits prolactin secretion from the anterior pituitary, suppressing lactation and pseudopregnancy.

Side effects & warnings

Vomiting common early in treatment. Do not use in pregnant animals (abortifacient). Reduces milk production within 24-48 hours.
