Mechanism of Action

Selective beta-1 adrenergic antagonist that decreases heart rate, contractility, and AV conduction. Compounded liquid enables precise dosing in cats and small exotics.

Side effects & warnings

Do not abruptly discontinue (rebound tachycardia). Contraindicated in decompensated CHF, bradycardia, and AV block. Monitor heart rate and blood pressure. Stability varies by formulation.
