Clinical context for sheep dosing

Sheep pharmacotherapy mirrors the goat playbook on most counts (extra-label use, FARAD-driven withdrawal periods, anthelmintic-resistance management) but with notable species-specific issues: copper toxicity from bovine-formulated mineral supplements, and barber's-pole-worm (Haemonchus contortus) management drives much of the parasiticide volume. Pregnancy toxaemia and hypocalcaemia in late gestation require glucose, calcium gluconate, and propylene-glycol oral therapy.
