Mechanism of Action
Alpha-2 adrenoceptor agonist providing sedation and analgesia in horses. Less ataxia compared to xylazine or detomidine at equipotent sedative doses.
Side effects & warnings
For use in horses only. Causes bradycardia and initial hypertension followed by hypotension. Do not use in horses intended for human consumption. IV administration only.
