Trivalent arsenic compound that kills adult Dirofilaria immitis (heartworms). Mechanism involves disruption of parasite metabolism.
Side effects & warnings
DOGS ONLY. Deep lumbar (epaxial) IM injection. Strict exercise restriction essential post-treatment. Pulmonary thromboembolism risk from dying worms. Pain at injection site.
