Mechanism of Action

Binds alpha-2-delta subunit of voltage-gated calcium channels. Liquid form for easier dosing in cats and small patients.

Side effects & warnings

XYLITOL-FREE formulation must be used (xylitol is toxic to dogs). Some human formulations contain xylitol. Sedation, ataxia at higher doses.
