Mechanism of Action
Causes tegumental damage and paralysis in cestodes (tapeworms). Alternative to praziquantel for Dipylidium and Taenia species.
Side effects & warnings
Well tolerated. Minimal side effects. Does not require fasting. Less effective against Echinococcus than praziquantel.
