Lomotil
Diphenoxylate is a synthetic opioid (mu-receptor agonist) that slows GI motility. Combined with subtherapeutic atropine to discourage misuse.
May cause CNS depression at high doses. Avoid in infectious diarrhea. Atropine component may cause anticholinergic effects. Use cautiously in cats.
