Mechanism of action
Salicylanilide anthelmintic that uncouples oxidative phosphorylation in the parasite mitochondria. Highly protein-bound with long duration of activity. Effective against Haemonchus and liver flukes.
Side effects & warnings
For cattle and sheep. Effective against adult liver flukes and Haemonchus contortus. Long withdrawal period due to protein binding. Overdose can cause blindness (optic nerve damage). Not available in all markets.
