Mechanism of Action

Ceftolozane binds PBPs with high affinity; tazobactam protects against beta-lactamase degradation. Enhanced Pseudomonas activity.

Side effects & warnings

Renal dose adjustment required. GI upset common. Very limited veterinary data — reserve for resistant infections.
