Azactam
Binds penicillin-binding protein 3 (PBP-3) of gram-negative bacteria, inhibiting cell wall synthesis. Active only against aerobic gram-negative organisms.
No cross-reactivity with penicillin allergy in most cases. Limited veterinary data. Monitor renal function with prolonged use.
