Liposomal encapsulation targets drug to fungal cells while reducing exposure to mammalian cell membranes. Binds ergosterol causing membrane disruption.
Side effects & warnings
Least nephrotoxic amphotericin B formulation. Still monitor renal function. Infusion reactions less common. Preferred formulation in veterinary practice.
