Mechanism of Action
Inhibits catabolic enzymes (metalloproteinases, serine proteases) involved in cartilage degradation. Stimulates synovial fluid production and chondrocyte metabolism.
Side effects & warnings
FDA-approved for equine use. Standard protocol: 500mg IM every 4 days for 7 treatments. Not for use in horses intended for food. Mild transient joint effusion may occur.
