Side effects & warnings
Swine ONLY. Carcinogenic — strict withdrawal period required. Do not feed within 42 days of slaughter. Not for use in breeding swine. Handle with extreme care; wear protective equipment.
Species-specific contraindications and adverse-reaction reports for swine may differ from canine / feline reference data — consult the primary citations listed with each rule.
Why a species-specific page? Carbadox pharmacokinetics differ across species: dose ranges, intervals, and route preferences are not interchangeable. Cross-extrapolation from canine doses is unsafe in swine — the rules above are the citations specific to this species, not generic recommendations.
